We
have been listening to Aam Admi’s success snippets all over the news and
surroundings, they have emerged as powerful entity in no time and from
nowhere with simple one point agenda “live and let live in peace”…. How can a simple
objective of an Aam admi has become disappointment so many people live in their
opulent lives and we have all witnessed it thoroughly in past few weeks/months.
Aam
Admi is an Aam admi whether he lives in Delhi homes or in Smondo, What is this
Aam admi finally wants from the world?
Here
we go…..A simple lifestyle with no
hassles, a fresh environment, water & air, a healthy social network, a
sense of pride owning a house and nothing beyond is what makes an Aam admi's
theme of self-containment and his determination to stick to basics. ‘Basics’ is mere … A pure sustained life with his family having dinner together, kids are sneeze-cough free, a
feel of delight and pride & bragging about their place of living, an
uninterrupted supply of power, internet and joy, parents/elders stay in a safety
measured atmosphere….. You must be wondering that these are unquestioned
demands of a normal middle class person and why would I even start this
write-up and put through so much focus across these basic and utterly obvious
requirements on a very serious note…
Here’s
what happened - this started about 2 years ago......
about 1000+ middle-class
families have dreamt about the a living place of their own with a reputed
builder who has name and fame nationally, internationally. People who go by
reputation also go with blindfolded trust to these builders in the anticipation
of making their dreams into reality, they are not good investigators neither they want
to stop believing about these builders who are just to make gold out of mud
& brick and totally unbiased towards the buyers emotions. Buyers have the
tendency to develop a rosy and flawless picture of the house that they are
going to own 'one day' while they let go their hard-earned balance into
builder’s ever unquenchable accounts.
Let’s
get to the core of this article, I’m not here to talk how bad one is, I’m here
to affirm you, how important I my dream is to me and my family members, we live in dreams until we
start living into the house that is being built for us. When reality strike, we
fall flat on our faces…Reasons...? The dreams we dreamt about and the reality, do
not match in many aspects and frustration start emanating, which stealthily
spread from minds to heart…
Just
analyze...! Did it help the builders realizing the facts that had made buyers
dreams go shattered? Or did it even ever matter to them at all? I don’t think
os… Let’s park this thought here and navigate to the lines that buyer had outlined
for his house of aspiration.
Struggles
comes in various formats that Smondo residents are facing every day since the
day they entered their much awaited house, they don’t feel pride about owning
flat in Smondo anymore, their excitement to live in Smondo is slowly and
consistently dying unless someone understands and respect the commitments made
to owners before it start decaying an established connection between a buyer
and seller.
Let’s
take up a roundabout of my routine on a daily basis and see what I go/went
through living in so called ‘Smart Home’ & ‘Smart Living’ and issues that
are faced by people of my class….. ‘A
kitchen without a chimney hole, a point to connect the water RO filter, wash basin
position that splutter water both sides of slab, height of flat being less than
standards, no appropriate STP system, security concerns, wet walls and many
more… surely doesn’t make smondo house a ‘Smart Home’ living.
Just
imagine a lump of wall coming out a corner when accidentally my shoulder had a
hit on it, I merely succeed in plugging in my ‘All Out’ mosquito in the wall
plug every night and my iron box every morning, my walls are self-scraped… they
usually fall off in the form of wall- scales for no reasons, my flush tank
stink unreasonably because it spits out coarse and fetidly so called recycled
water. Parks we go and sit to relax has started posing risk to our health, it’s
about 2 year now I haven’t able to spot my parking lot… does it exist? I don’t
know, I will find out and let you know! Don’t ever nail your wall, I did by
making a big and ugly blob on my wall, which took me a weekend to fix. Most of
my lower portions of walls have sparsely layered shiny light green ‘Algae’
making graveling amoebic shapes which works very well in embarrassing us before
our own people and visitors. Uninterrupted electricity was the basis none of us
went for UPSs/Inverters but we experience consistent power interruption
disrupting almost daily basis and it does not stop here - a high frequency of
uninterrupted power disruptions has conveniently damaged my electrical
equipment and degraded my values about ‘Smart Living’.
Listen,
my intentions are clean and I’m not here to downplay someone against what I’m
going through. Be it ‘A buyer’ or ‘A seller’, I believe in the concept of
someone working for their living and they have their own dreams. This note is
to them, who value the value of emotions of their own and when it comes to
value of others, they turn into an uncongenial partner.
An
aam admi of Smondo wants an atmosphere and surroundings that pleases him, which
gives an immense pleasure to be part of Smondo family. A resident of Smondo
when views from his window and looks into the world that he always aspired to
be in, his mornings are mirthful, his evenings brings in a breeze of comforting
thoughts run through and nights await for another elated morning…. Life goes
on!
Best
Wishes from
An
Aam Admi of Smondo
