Digital Transformation and Cognitive Exploration

A thought to ponder upon...

AI, MLs, NLP in this cognitive Era is reaching out to almost various industries and making that loud & visible transformation, that is not only overwhelming point, but creating spaces for more opportunity and further advancement in computing world.

Music industry is huge, diverged and well acclaimed across the entire world... Cognitive computing can step into music world and start enticing the music lovers. Deep learning and cognitive computing offerings can go across boundaries, and draw local and global patterns, that would provide valuable insights on -

0. All waves, tunes and tones to be transformed into data
1. Then find out "What tones, pitches and waves are most liked by the lovers" -  It may help in study of ever mysterious brain behavior when it come across various permutations & combinations.
2. It may help world lyricists and music directors to create their next masterpiece based on the study.
3. What song should be sung by what singer to create most effective results.
4. We can recreate old dead (but alive in our memories) voices again to get  fascinated yet again...
5. What tones and tunes were the trendsetters then and why? Insights about the old magical #s from the past. Amalgamating new and old tunes to form next likable music piece.
6. Singers get insights on cognitive discovery and improve upon their tones/tunes to sing/speak more effectively at each of the song/speech.
7. With language translators, voices from the music or speeches can be used to use the favorite speech or song in the your favorite singer's voice. A song would get auto dubbed putting in a favorite voice.
8... And there are many more innovative juggles that can be thought about once we start our music journey with current AI methods.

Loosing My Brother....

Loosing my brother today, I lost my charm and my smile,
grief grows in my heart.. already built a huge pile.
Will miss him thoroughly now and certainly for a while,
he who had all my secrets, he was me and my style,
he worked with me, and walked for me every mile
he never slept nor rested and who always ensured.. I'm on a safety isle

Aam admi at Smondo

We have been listening to Aam Admi’s success snippets all over the news and surroundings,  they have emerged as powerful entity in no time and from nowhere with simple one point agenda “live and  let live in peace”…. How can a simple objective of an Aam admi has become disappointment so many people live in their opulent lives and we have all witnessed it thoroughly in past few weeks/months.
Aam Admi is an Aam admi whether he lives in Delhi homes or in Smondo, What is this Aam admi  finally wants from the world?
Here we go…..A  simple lifestyle with no hassles, a fresh environment, water & air, a healthy social network, a sense of pride owning a house and nothing beyond is what makes an Aam admi's theme of self-containment and his determination to stick to basics. ‘Basics’  is mere … A pure sustained  life with his family  having  dinner together, kids are sneeze-cough free, a feel of delight and pride & bragging about their place of living, an uninterrupted supply of power, internet and joy, parents/elders stay in a safety measured atmosphere….. You must be wondering that these are unquestioned demands of a normal middle class person and why would I even start this write-up and put through so much focus across these basic and utterly obvious requirements on a very serious note…
Here’s what happened - this started about 2 years ago......

You feed bet - I bleed sweat

Let’s analyze this… Why betting is considered to be fatal?
it actually wrecked my social routine life - See how it has begun?

Sports of any nature and of any format has been a global entertainment commodity among any segment of people of the world you pick…. Sports are live, true, surprise, unpredictable, fun… unlike a movie that you go with family with results already handy.

In sports, faking or making the results with a force, results into loosing its silvery charm with great amount of disappointment.... and do believe me that none of us wants to buy a piece of frustration with money and time which we don’t have in abundance… and if they realize that they did… imagine the post effect trauma and the anguish that they go through thinking about whole episode that just passed by.... finally they end-up making a lifelong decision as ‘to hell with it’…

Life of T…!

In 1999, I was first time father… naturally a proud one to my sweet little daughter…. An intent to keep my family small, I grew it by 2 more…By 2006 I was father of 3 and I intent to be rolling that way even further… but, I had to bow down before nature’s wish. My little sane daughter and 2 astutely behaved sons makes a picture perfect family….

Err… did I tell you about ‘T’… wait up… go back….a bit,

When my wife was carrying our second son the 3rd kid, I had to shop around for a non-biological son to be partnering with my elder impatient Son, who was just 1 then and did not want to wait for his biological brother to show up to the world. And finally we approached ‘Life is Good’ center where they were to sell well behaved boys supposedly. We picked the fairer and a good looking one named ‘T’, we also picked some parenting tips from the center owner on how to nurture kids from his lot.

Finally ‘T’  stepped into our life with much of happiness and above all he got a big wide smile on my 1 yr old son's face. My wife was truly happy and she hoped that she got a helping hand now…. Few days of T’s inception to the new family, everything went through right… but… when my new son had finally arrived bringing in loads of joy into the family, all of us were bloated with immense happiness, but sooner my house started appearing to be shrunked…. It was just a 2BHK and we needed some space to stretch arms…shuffling things around did not work.... and finally we all looked at ‘T’ sadistically and politely but with concealed profanity asked him, if he can shift to balcony hereon…. T was part of our family more than 6 months then who softly accepted the fact that he needs to make room to the new family member….

Monday Thru Friday

Good lord! Friday is here….. Friday never tasted this sweeter before (ever before)… Friday also brings in fear and a warning of arrival of Monday in just in 48 hours… Thought, I will sit and blog that my mind and soul has horrendously experienced last week…

So here it goes…. Tring.. tring.. tring.. The sooner my phone rings, my 2 little Sons whispers… “Hey dude, check out how dad gets mad…” other says… “P2 I guess!! and I wonder why eRoom goes down so often… Why can’t people get this stupid eRoom on a pulley, bring it up make it stay there”, How elemental thinking these little minds are on and yet make sense… I earn tons of learning from these brats….. Work is good but work over work is not only bad but worst for the future that you are depending upon, I read an article that world will have more bed ridden people than deaths in next 10-15 years… due to their melted spine or scuffed neck bones, you wanna be one …lol.

Recently, I have been to a nearby hospital adjacent to a tiny Physio therapy centre to get my BP checked and believe me guys… people were swarmed and waiting for their turn to get their part of heat-treatment and stretched… I am glad that I was not one of them, but very next second a chilled impulsive vibe ran through my nerves and compelled me to ponder upon…’What if, I was one of them….', again guys… I’m not inducing a scare in you…. But a word of caution does always come handy.

During last week I had taken my family to KFC for them to feel and breathe the fresh air with some smoky chicken strips... My wife insisted on this trip for a very sane reason that I will be away from that ugly laptop and she gets all my attention on her and kids… She started “Hey…Listen, kids are at the edge of their half yearly exams…?” I go… “Oh Yeah, I hear you talking to kids at home”… She utters further “Madiha’s maths getting tougher every day… I think you should pitch in now…” I slowly whispered irately not making very obvious to the surroundings…. “C’mon lady… you know… How occupied I’m with my meetings, escalations, Incidents etc…” and then begun of the most hated heated domestic affrays on the KFC table which was indeed hotter than spicy grilled chicken on the menu…

I am therefore pray your honour to make big fine on that guard for public sake. Otherwise I am making big report to papers.

Okhil Chandra Sen wrote this letter to the Sahibganj divisional railway office in 1909. It is on display at the Railway Museum in New Delhi. It was also reproduced under the caption Travellers Tales in the Far Eastern Economic Review.

Any guesses why this letter is of historic value?

It led to the introduction of TOILETS in trains in India.....!!!!

So please don't think any idea is stupid and discard it. Always Speak up.

The Unforgotten Era- The School Chapter

Its odd of the odds that I am here writing this piece of experience. Who would know that I was standing in a shabby tea shop near the united church of nirmal nagar (Defence Colony) and taking sips of insipid tea with my old good friends just a few days back? And this is happening, I must say after over a decade… (Or may be close to 2). The torrid lives we had as part of our lives before ’86 are indeed unforgotten, they just fared into my life teaching me ‘nothing is bygone, surprises are yet to arrive’.

The life was a journey of agitations and contentions all through, nevertheless these happenings make your way to energize and fuel your soul to drive towards a felicitous life. This is NOT me, its my emotions that are emanating within me. I may be overreacting with the situation I was/am into, I am sure, majority of folks that I am known to would share the same feelings… for others I will just tag them as ‘inhumane’.

We with White shirt and Navy blue short are the days that I want to plunge into and live to the maximum magnitude…yet again (can I? may be..Lets try!!).

SBI- No more a Sleeping Elephant!

Someone said SBI is a sleeping elephant ignores the customer touch in the market... I have also heard some utterance like this "Hey, buddy if you wanna be happy after you buy home... DON’T GO FOR SBI", "SBI bank forget it... I am not going there, I will 'age out' so much standing in lines", "Good lord, the best thing about SBI is that these people really test our patience to the core".... Well... These lines looked so real and matured until I have experienced 4 things... Well, I forgot to tell my location... Its Bangalore:

1. The aggressive hoardings and shrewd advertisements on TV and paper lately
2. Mr. Hanumanth- AGM
3. Mr Ravi Shankar- SBI, Manager Home Loan Dept
4. OP Bhatt - I have heard about him

My whole perception took an upside down switch and looked like SBI is silently and serenely saying... Watch It! We are coming back!

My Dad and my Dad's Dad used to murmer about banking those days when I used to hardly understand the word Bank... but I know they 'did' used to utter SBI quite many times in their financial conversations... Are we ready to witness the history? Since SBI looks to be the future bank for all.... Are we going back to Future? May be... Lets watch and see!!

Whoever is behind the wheel of SBI mobility towards the future... I would urge him/them to give it little more push and they will be there on the finishing mark.... While I don’t have to wait for my kids to talk good about it, rather I want to be in the era of SBI reigned market where I am speaking positive about SBI to others. I believe the day is NOT far when SBI gets every nook and corner to benefit rich and poor.

Keep up the good work... We are behind you.

Why I Should 'NOT' Be Hating HP?

Well... I am writing this with great emotions running inside me and I carry it for my Company with pride. I have been writing few articles around the corner of 2009 and don’t know who actually that may have impacted, but this one… I am writing it for myself... This gives me an immense pleasure to say that I don’t have any reasons to Hate HP, I consider HP as 'Helping Pal (HP), Hangover Place (HP), place to Harvest Professionalism (HP), Hub of Proficiency(HP) so on and so forth.... Why I don't hate HP? Yup... that's truely true... I have no reasons, because 'What a woman want' may be little mysterious but 'What an Employee want' is so predictable and the science of 'Knowing needs of an Employee' is well defined and sculpted within HP's book of Policies, HP caters the factor of inevitabilities of an employee and that marks an 'Employee Friendly' company. It may look little hazy to few that 'what I am talking about', but one has to redevelop and see things from 'Top' or inverted and comeout of the mindset that was snapped earlier or in the interim, you will then see the real HP in front of you... GO HP… Go….

I am in my 5th year now, yet…! when I enter the conference room with novices or with experts the presenter usually utters to the audience that "No question is a stupid question" this alone statement pass onto a highly motivated signal which automatically stimulates your listening and understanding power for the rest of the session. I believe most of the Superiors step-in the campus with reticence and modesty wraps on, irrespective of their behavioural characteristics outside, I have known some Managers who are so down to earth... I know they can win the entire extolments across the lanes they pass through. Where there is ‘good’ there is ‘bad’ and this is an universal logic that cannot be erroneous at any given moment of any life, so lets talk about the people who carry their Manager's tag on their foreheads with changed and chesty walking style. We know we will have to live with them and we all know 'their being' as managers is short-lived.

Mera Bhaiya Chanda- Madiha (5th Class, DPS)

Kawal- A Mystery Life

It's about 'a being' fighting real hard to get off of the glutinous bed of ICU since last 92 days. Kawal has always been a mystery boy for all of us all through the time I and others had known to him, ‘mystery’ because... his expressions and acts never followed each other, his vigor and reasons never synched to a meaningful gesture, his dips and highs in life had same behavioral characteristics.

The first day I met Kawal was in Windsor Manor, Bangalore... Yes, the 5 star hotel where Bangalore's Royal Challengers and Kolkatta's Knight Riders were hosted, for their kick off match of the mighty IPL, but anyways.... we were there for a 3 day ITIL training. He was introduced to me as one of my team member in the same process and very soon he was my buddy, waiting no more I counted him in my likeminded list.

Kawal...! as I know him was a very light hearted and hardly seen his weary face in any given circumstances. There was something lacking in him and holding him back very strongly, he could not project his potential to the extent that he actually could. What was it? What was holding him from back? Why is he not making that efforts to come out to show his real talent? Who is his family ? Where are they? Why is he all alone? Does he have any problems? What kind? Can I help him? And.... so many questions may arise in one's mind.

Kawal was punctual and I don’t think he had any words like 'No', 'Not', 'Don’t' or others beckoning the negative signal in his dictionary. For every conclusion we arrive to, his answer would be a BIG nod with his strong acceptance and his 'Pagdi' would make a 180 deg inverse pendulum swing. Dedication and sincerity was most obvious and usual ingredients of his temperament. His silent and sober behavior was often finds a dreary character in him but behind his abstemious looking temperament there was something rotating somewhere deep in his mind with an immense velocity often concealed by his cool textured smile and sometimes he misses to hide it, hence makes it too obvious for us to do the guess work…

ICICICICI... Support- A Torturous Experience

ICICI-I don’t know what that means but I guess it is big name in Banking and Financial services.... It also sometime looks like an 'Aptitude Question on Series' ICICI.....? the perceived image of this BIG name in my mind had just crumpled. It all started with a phone call that I made in the night... The message rolled-down into my ears something like this 'their customer services in Hyderabad may be haywire until the 'Telangana' heat is at its peak, so don’t get alarmed if their person get your call in just couple of hours'... 2 prime things to be noted here:

1. Are these guys opening their Pandora box that they have their services ONLY in Hyderabad? There is no DR location?
2. They are making this very obvious that they are highly incapable of managing calls even at the late hours where call volume is supposed to be low.

The story doesn’t end here.... Like Shah Rukh says.... 'Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost',

Road to Chennai - (20th-22nnd Dec 2009)

Travelling is what I like but not driving, with 3 kids and especially when 2 of them are brats who usually give me a hard time even for short distances. I somehow gathered few ounces of courage to drive on NH7 and cranked my Scorpio’s engine at around 8:30AM on Sunday from Bangalore, I was kind of sluggishly driving through the dusty Hosur road… The only mysteries of Bangalore in my mind is ‘by when the construction on the roads will cease’ and ‘by when the pedestrians of Bangalore stop liking to walk on the oozing sewage water and stop feeling fresh with toxic carbon monoxide. Well… slowly started crawling along the lanes in between the long streams of trucks and earth movers…. I was sloping down the NH7 towards the other end and I begin to twirl around my head to see the directions…. But what… I see less of English and more of curvy and bosomy Tamil script….
